Practitioners
Supervision Services
Supervision is a formal agreement between a trained and accredited supervisor and a practitioner in a specific discipline. It provides an opportunity for the practitioner to reflect on their clinical practice and gain a wider perspective for professional growth and expanding their practice scope. As Disability Counsel, we are experts in behaviour support and disability practice in Australia, since the 1990s. Our authenticity stems from a profound understanding of lived experiences, and we offer evidence-based supervision services. Our expertise extends beyond the behaviour support domain to enhance your clinical practice.

Professional Judgement Statement
As CEO of Disability Counsel, I am a Specialist Behaviour Support Practitioner with expertise in dual diagnosis (disability and mental health) and complex transitions, I am dedicated to delivering person-centred, ethical, and evidence-based supports aligned with the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Practice Standards.
My professional judgement underpins every clinical decision, ensuring that behaviour support interventions are carefully tailored to meet the individual’s unique needs, strengths, and circumstances. I integrate comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments with best practice frameworks to develop holistic and sustainable plans that promote wellbeing, safety, and meaningful participation.
I work collaboratively with clients, families, carers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure transparent communication and shared decision-making. This partnership approach respects the rights, preferences, and goals of the person supported, consistent with NDIS principles of choice and control.
Recognising the complexity of dual diagnosis, and life stage and other transitional periods, I continuously update my knowledge through professional development and reflective practice to apply the most current, evidence-informed strategies.
Please be aware that while this statement reflects my professional approach and values, each person’s situation is unique. Therefore, all assessments and recommendations are individualised and should be discussed with me or your support team to ensure the best outcomes.
